I love a productivity tip. As we all know having a process for building WordPress websites makes us more efficient and keeps us engaged in the process. It’s when we get bored that silly mistakes happen or we get frustrated which is not a good frame of mind to be in when dealing with clients or needing a clear/logical mindset.
I want to show you how to identify your favorite WordPress plugins in the repository, LIKE them and then find those in your website’s Dashboard.
Begin the process by going to WordPress. If you don’t have an account, or aren’t logged in, please do that first.
Then begin searching through plugins. I always use the iThemes Security plugin, so let’s use that as my example. I search for it, then I will click the little heart next to Download.
Once I do this if I click on My Favorites I will see the plugins that I have “liked”.
This is the part I like the most. Login to your WordPress website. Click on Plugins on the left hand side of your screen in your Dashboard, and Add New, then click on Favorites. You will be prompted to sign in to your WordPress account and click Get Favorites.
Voila, they are suddenly right there for you to install!
To the best of my knowledge, at this time, you can not bulk upload them, but it certainly saves you a bit of time. In particular if you are searching for a plugin…..what’s the one that I like for changing urls after launch (Velvet Blues)… or what’s the one that does that thing, that I used on that site (NextScripts)???? You get it.
I wish you happy building. If you have a WordPress tip please share, or of course, tell us your favorite WordPress plugins in the comments below.
